Shelly Willis has made her mark on Sacramento’s art scene over her storied tenure as director of Sacramento’s Metropolitan Arts Commission.
Shelly raised millions of dollars over the years for several massive arts projects including the installations at the Golden One Center and Sacramento’s International Airport.
As Shelly was leaving office, plans were in development to create a public art space between West Sacramento and Capital Mall.
She joins Insight to discuss the evolution of Sacramento’s arts and culture and scene and the future she sees ahead.
