Yuba City High School teacher and Sutter County Supervisor Jim Whiteaker has continued to teach for nearly two decades after a school district investigation found he engaged in “unwanted” and “very offensive” behavior with both a student and an employee of the school district.
This is just the latest news in a story that came to light this past January, when a 14-year-old Yuba City High student filed a complaint. Whiteaker is on paid administrative leave as he fights the allegations.
Capital Public Radio’s Bob Moffitt has been following the story and joins Insight host Beth Ruyak in studio to explain.
