This week on News Network, Gus Thomson joins us from the Auburn Journal to discuss the Rim Fire aftermath and a recently approved plan to restore land burned by last year's American Fire by the Forest Service.  Auburn continues to prohibit fireworks during the days leading up to Independence Day -- specifically in unincorporated areas -- which pose a fire threat during the drought.

For more on the drought, we'll speak with former Calaveras Enterprise editor, Joel Metzger, about the impact of the drought and mandatory conservation measures in Calaveras County.
