The Sacramento Ballet performs the Nutcracker in 2018

‘Tis the season for some terrific holiday performances and there are plenty to choose from. There’s ornate instrumental music with no vocals or lush a capella, both from the Baroque.

Or something festive from Latin America: a Christmas posada concert with traditional Mexican music and folklorico dance. But, if you’re after something from the “Emerald Isle,” Danu may be what you’re looking for. And not to be forgotten is the classic “Nutcracker.”

CapRadio’s arts and theatre critic, Jeff Hudson, joins Insight for this week’s Sound Advice with choices for everyone over the next few weeks.
