Modesto rock trio CallBox cite a mix of influences like Tori Amos, Bjork, Fiona Apple, Tool, King Crimson and Frank Zappa. CallBox won Best Pop Rock at the 2017 Modesto Area Music Awards. The trio released “Tongue Tied” in July 2019, and performed a record release show at Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles. They’ve made a name for themselves rocking out to originals and covers around the Central Valley.

Victoria Boyington plays acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals for the band. (She’s also the founder and director of the California Women’s Music Festival.) Her husband Jimbo plays a 14 string Warr Guitar for bass and melodic lines. They’ve been making music together for a decade, with some changes to the CallBox lineup over the years.  Dylan Soto plays drums and sings backing vocals since joining the trio in 2015 (and he’s a vlogger, too).

CallBox has a number of upcoming performances. For a complete list, check their events page.
