Gun shop owner Tiffany Teasdale-Causer points a Ruger AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, the same model, though in gray rather than black, used by the shooter in a Texas church massacre two days earlier, as she talks about the gun, Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.

Following the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, two weeks ago, numerous claims and questionable statements have been made by policymakers about gun violence.

Speaking at the California Democrats State Convention in San Diego last weekend, Sen. Dianne Feinstein stated, "I thought after Sandy Hook, there would never be another school shooting. Yet after Sandy Hook, 400 people have been shot in over 200 school shootings." (See the comment at 2:20:30 below.)

PolitiFact California examined that claim and other recent statements about gun violence. Reporter Chris Nichols joins us with a fact check.
