It was written by Ayed Akhtar and focuses on racism and Islamaphobia. The play is directed by Michael Stevenson at CapStage. Actor Adam El-Sharkawi, who plays the central character, Amir, and Jennifer LeBlanc who plays Emily, join Beth Ruyak on Insight. Also joining the conversation, Basim Elkarra, from the Sacramento Chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations and the Artistic Director of CapStage, who also directs Disgraced, Michael Stevenson. The play continues through June 5, 2016.
