Lauren McCullough called herself ‘The Not-Dying Girl’ in a blog she wrote about her experience with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare childhood cancer. The Elk Grove teenager was diagnosed in 2011, just after her high school graduation, and became an advocate for more funding and research for pediatric cancers.

Insight host Beth Ruyak first met Lauren when she was a guest in 2013 and 2014. Now, Lauren’s parents, Deanne and John McCullough and her Kaiser oncologist, Dr. Kent Jolly, join Insight to talk about childhood cancer and the new documentary about Lauren’s life.

There will be a free screening of 'The Not-Dying Girl' Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. at the Crest Theatre. Tickets are available here.
