There have been some changes in California, particularly with people who’ve registered ‘no party preference’. There have also been changes to voting locations, from neighborhood polling places, to voting centers. New to the voting center approach this year are the counties of Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Fresno, Los Angeles, Madera, Mariposa, Napa, Nevada, Orange, Sacramento, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Tuolumne.

There are many roles a registrar of voters plays in helping the voting public know how to register to vote, locate their polling place, ensure pollings places are accessible and to assure voters the process by which they cast their ballots is transparent.
