California faces its most severe drought emergency in decades. Californians have been called to reduce water, and businesses, farms, and reservoirs are running dry. As part of an ongoing science lecture series, Sierra College Professor Carol Jean Cox will outline California’s climate, its 20th century water systems, ground water issues and California’s future in a free presentation this week. Her talk is Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Center at Sierra College in Grass Valley.
