Efforts to change laws, funding and certain policies in law enforcement and policing are being debated across the country.

In California, Democratic State Assemblymember Mike Gipson has drafted legislation that would end police restraints such as the hold that ended the life of George Floyd in Minneapolis some two weeks ago. 

Today we talk with Gipson about the bill and what exceptions it might include by the time it reaches Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk.
