Muir Family Collection / Courtesy You may know John Muir as the poetic naturalist whose activism helped give birth to the National Park Service and protect places like the Yosemite Valley and Sequoia National Park. But Roseville’s Robert Hanna knew John Muir in a different way. He was introduced to the Father of the National Parks simply as his grandfather’s grandfather. Through family photos and personal stories, Hanna learned of a side of Muir that few ever ever knew. Hanna will be revealing this personal side of his great-great-grandfather in a talk at the State Theatre in Auburn this Friday titled The Life and Legacy of John Muir. Robert Hanna will introduce actor Lee Stetson's portrayal of John Muir at the Sierra College Dietrich Theater on March 11.
