From Standing Rock to Mount Shasta, indigenous communities have led many of the land conservation efforts throughout the country. In many respects, California the key player for the preservation of natural landscapes and Native Americans are critical to that success.

In our continuing California Native series, we invited three environmental activists and leaders over the years. Morning Star Gali, Sage La Pena and Kenneth Holbrook join Insight to discuss traditional approaches to stewardship.
