News Network: Wildfire Liability Inspires Increased Lobbying

CALmatters politics reporter Laurel Rosenhall reviewed new lobbying and campaign finance reports covering the first six months of the year. She discovered that utilities and insurers with a huge stake in the aftermath of wildfires have poured more than $3.2 million into California campaign donations and another $5.2 million into state lobbying — a big spike. She tells us more about her findings in this week's News Network segment.
