Autism gets a lot of attention. In media reports, in schools, in communities. But, if you don’t know anyone on the autism spectrum, you likely don’t really know very much about it.
Janet Grillo is a filmmaker with an adult child who is autistic. Her films’ goals include creating understanding, bridging divides and presenting true portrayals of living with a child with autism. Grillo is based in New York City and is in Sacramento to speak Wednesday afternoon at the UC Davis MIND Institute.
