She’s an award-winning journalist and her latest book has sent some shock waves across the country. Law enforcement agencies have been using the book for training and law schools and courts are using it, too. The book is called "No Visible Bruises: What We Don’t Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us," published in 2019. Her book has been named one of the ten best books of the year by The New York Times.
