It happened at the tender age of nine, while watching the film “Girl Crazy.”
Richard Glazier was so excited by the music he heard in that film – scored by George and Ira Gershwin - it prompted him to write a fan letter to lyricist Ira Gershwin.
That letter led to a correspondence and friendship that would set Glazier on his career path.
The classically-trained, award-winning pianist will perform an all-Gershwin concert at the
Auburn State Theater April 23
rd and he’ll perform “Rhapsody in Blue” with the
Auburn Symphony during their Mother’s Day Concert May 8
