Carol Van Bruggen has worked with local business, community leaders and youth in Zambia to protect wildlife. In addition to her work in Zambia, she has connected with a local school (Will Rogers Middle School) and is providing Sacramento students with the opportunity to compare and share their own conservation efforts with those of children in Africa while learning more about the culture of young people in a very different part of the world. Carol and co-writer Pat Cole are in the process of writing a book about wildlife conservation in Africa and will share their insights.
