Andrew Nixon / Capital Public Radio Lauren Markham is a journalist and author of the book “The Far Away Brothers: Two Young Migrants & The Making of an American Life.” The book was awarded the Northern California Book Award, The California Book Award Silver Medal, and the Ridenhour Prize. Earlier this year, Markham announced the book would be adapted for young adults.
