Christopher Callahan started his career as a journalist. He spent years at the Associated Press. After getting his master’s at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, he began to combine his love for journalism with journalism education.
He did exactly that at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism before founding and leading the Cronkite School at Arizona State University. He has wide-ranging views on the role of higher education, the importance of experimentation and innovation and the joy of interacting with students.
