An artist with an edge for figurative kitsch with historical references will be celebrated this weekend in a memorial at the Verge Center for the Arts. James Albertson, whose work is held in the collections of the Crocker Art Museum, di Rosa, Mills College and Yale University, died July 24 at his home in Sacramento. We’ll talk with his wife and fellow artists Julia Stagg about his work and legacy. The memorial is open to the public.
