NWS Sacramento Forecasters are calling it the worst winter storm to hit California yet this season. Beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing into the weekend, up to 7 feet of snow is expected for high elevations around Lake Tahoe, and hail conditions and several inches of rain are expected around Sacramento. The National Weather Service is advising people to avoid the roads because of the dangerous conditions.
