The Sacramento Zoo begins the New Year with a new director and an exciting partnership with local breweries.

Jason Jacobs took over as director of the Zoo in early January and one of his first projects is raising funds for at-risk animals through sales of specially concocted beers.

New Helvetia, Yolo Brewing, Sudwerk and more are crafting beers that match the characteristics of these animals, like the Session Red Ale for the red panda.

Jacobs joins the owners of Red Helvetia Dave Gull and Rob McGormley from Yolo discuss the unique partnership.
