Sacramento State Theatre Professor Emeritus Andonia Cakouros returns to Insight with the latest iteration of her one-woman performance of “Unveiling the Soul.”

Cakouros retired from Sacramento State in 2014.  In 2015, she went on to produce “Unveiling the Soul” by interpreting Hellenic texts with original writing, choreography and direction to explore “the soul’s journey through light and dark, despair and hope, trial and triumph through the lens of Agape.” The show adapts for the stage her interpretations of ancient and modern Greek literature, English and Byzantine hymns and chants, and ancient Greek music.

You can see Andonia Cakouros perform “Unveiling the Soul” at the Sacramento State Theatre & Dance Department on June 15 starting at 8:00 p.m.
