James Cartmill holds an American flag while protesting in Oakland, Calif., on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, after the announcement that a grand jury decided not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson.

Sacramento religious leaders who had traveled to Ferguson, Missouri after the shooting of Michael Brown were gathered in Oak Park last night to talk about race and community relations just as the Ferguson Grand Jury decision was announced. We’ll talk with Pastor Kevin Brown of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church about the decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the death of Michael Brown. Pastor Brown went to Ferguson this summer to help that city’s faith-based community organize peaceful demonstrations and make connections with local law enforcement in the wake of a white officer shooting an unarmed black teenager.
