Capital Stage’s production of “Marjorie Prime,” a play written by Jordan Harrison, is the company’s first co-production with Florida-based American Stage Theatre Company, opens May 5.
In 2017, the play was also adapted as a movie directed by Michael Almereyda and starring Geena Davis, Tom Robbins and John Hamm. It addresses themes of technology, artificial intelligence and memory against the backdrop of family difficulties and ageing.
“Marjorie Prime” was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and received a positive review in the New York Times.
Capital Stage Company’s founding Artistic Director Stephanie Gularte will join us in studio with members of the cast for a conversation and a reading from the play.
