A new piece commissioned by the Modesto Symphony Orchestra and inspired by George Lucas' film "American Graffiti" will debut this weekend.
Composed by pianist Alejandro Sabre, "Graffiti Jive" is a seven-minute symphonic work. It will be performed by the Modesto Symphony in a concert celebrating maestro David Lockington's 10th anniversary as conductor.
Sabre returns to Insight to talk about the inspiration behind this new piece.
