Pulitzer-Prize winning musical Next to Normal explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Produced by the Sacramento theater company Runaway Stage Productions, the pop/rock musical tells the story of a mother who struggles with bipolar disorder and the effect her illness has on her family. Next to Normal runs through August 16 at the West Sacramento Community Center Black Box Theatre.
