Tiny Desk Contest Winner Announced; Davis Musician Lillian Frances Performs

Davis musician Lillian Frances stopped by Capital Public Radio for an in-studio performance and interview. She was one of more than 700 contestants in this year's NPR Tiny Desk Contest.

The NPR Music Tiny Desk Contest winner was announced today. There were more than 700 entries from California alone. One artist that caught Hey Listen! host Nick Brunner's attention was Davis-based synth pop artist Lillian Frances. She was featured on the latest episode of Hey Listen! and stopped by Capital Public Radio for an in-studio performance and interview.

Today, we're featuring Lillian Frances as an example of the amazing local talent capitalizing on the Tiny Desk Contest as a platform for reaching new audiences and generating musical creativity.
