President Donald Trump turns to House speaker Nancy Pelosi of Calif., as he delivers his State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on Capitol Hill in Washington, as Vice President Mike Pence watches, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

President Donald Trump is on his way back from a four day trip to Japan, where he spent the Memorial Day weekend. Even though he was far from home, his battle with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was woven into the headlines and coverage of the trip.

It’s reminiscent of the Obama years, when House Speaker John Boehner was either in a “bromance” or an outright war with the president. Now, the Speaker is California’s Nancy Pelosi and the storyline between her and Trump just became more personal and more volatile than Boehner/Obama. In fact, it sounds more like Trump/Clinton during the 2016 campaign.

Host Beth Ruyak talks with Political Junkie Ken Rudin about their fighting and how it might influence the impeachment debate & the presidential race.
