Lesley McClurg is a new reporter at Capital Public Radio working a new beat: Food & Sustainability. When we asked people on Facebook to tell us what McClurg should be covering we got an overwhelming response. Some listeners wonder why the Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organization have different dietary guidelines. Others want to know the environmental impact of eating beef. Meanwhile, McClurg is finding that the word “sustainable” isn’t as easy to define as you might think. She joins us to talk about her new role and answer some questions about the new food & sustainability beat.
