The Yippies Are Coming To B Street Theatre

The Yippies are coming to B Street Theatre.

"A Yippie’s Day at Disneyland" is based on an actual event that happened in the summer of 1970 when the Youth International Party (YIPPIE) attempted to infiltrate and protest Disneyland. The protest was derailed and the organizers jailed.

The one-woman play, written by B Street Theater Artistic Associate and Intern Coordinator Sean Patrick Nill, follows one protester’s experience as she returns to San Francisco and decides whether she will give up her friends to the FBI.

B Street Theatre Acting Intern Olivia Schaperjohn takes on the role of Louise Sawyer. She and Nill join us in studio to discuss the play, the B Street Theatre Intern Program and what it's like to play a role based on true events.
