The 38th annual Festival of New American Music kicks off Friday night with a Gala Concert featuring Caballito Negro and Dose Hermanos, as well as baritone and Sac State alum Eugene Villanueva. The festival, which showcases many new works from eclectic and emerging artists, runs through Nov. 15th at Sacramento State. FeNAM co-director and Sac State Music Professor Dr. Stephen Blumberg joins us for this week’s Sound Advice. He’ll highlight some of the featured pieces and artists at this year’s festival, including one he wrote himself.
