Conductor Peter Jaffe Plans Large-Scale Concert With Auburn Symphony

Conductor Peter Jaffe has an ambitious plan for the Auburn Symphony involving thunder simulators, cow bells and a wind machine.

The line-up of musicians — or more so, the number of musicians — is estimated to be 109 musicians, which Jaffe says is the most the Symphony's ever had on stage. He talks about this grand-scale idea of his as he plans to perform Richard Strauss' Alpine Symphony on May 14.
