A Sample Of Jazz And Classical Acts To Expect In April

Paul Conley, managing editor for music and arts at Capital Public Radio, shares songs from musicians and artists playing in our region during the month of April.

Below are a few of the acts happening this week.

Pianist Kevin Cole performs the Gershwin piano Concerto in F with the Stockton Symphony on Saturday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in Atherton Auditorium.

Time for Three appears with the Modesto Symphony on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8 at 8 p.m. to perform Chris Brubeck’s concerto “Travels in Time For Three.” 

Joe Gilman Quartet presents “Time Out: The Music of Dave Brubeck,” a recreation of Dave Brubeck’s famous recording. The group will play at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento from  6-9 p.m.  Vocalist Vivian Lee opens the concert.
