Maestro Don Kendrick Bids Adieu To Sacramento State With Farewell Concert

Dr. Donald Kendrick is retiring after 33 years directing choral activities at Sacramento State.

Dr. Donald Kendrick marks the end of a 33-year-long career at Sacramento State as director of choral activities with a farewell concert on Saturday, May 12.

“Praise and Jubilation” will feature the West Coast premiere of “Jubilate Deo” by Dan Forrest, as well as works by Dvorak and Respighi. The evening will start with a pre-concert talk at 7 p.m., and music at 8 p.m. at the Sacramento Community Center Theater.

Maestro Kendrick will continue his work with the Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra and at Sacred Heart Church as director of music.
