There is a new film being produced about an event in 1995, when a colonel in the Army, Pat Thompson, presided over the discharge of another colonel, Margarethe Cammermeyer, for being gay. But what most people didn’t know in 1995 was that Thompson is also gay. On Insight, we have Thompson, her wife, Barbra Brass, and Filmmaker Cindy L. Abel for an interview about the documentary being made of their lives and experiences called Surviving the Silence: Love and Impossible Choices.
