The Philharmonik is the stage name of Christian Gates, a 24 year old soul and R&B artist in Sacramento. He's made a name for himself with electrifying live performances all over town.

His music blends contemporary rap and hip-hop influences like J. Cole and Kanye West with R&B, soul, and funk artists like Stevie Wonder, Prince, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Parliament, and Earth, Wind & Fire. He also cites pop rock influences like The Beatles, Steely Dan, and The Police.

The Philharmonik debuted his self-titled album in March. He will join Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers for a Camp Fire Benefit Concert this Sunday at Drake’s: The Barn in West Sacramento. The show is from noon to 9 p.m.
