End Of The Sacramento Music Festival

After 44 years of bringing top jazz, swing, blues and rock musicians to Old Sac the Sacramento Music Festival is coming to an end.

In a press release out Monday morning, the event’s organizers cited rising costs, low attendance and competing music festivals for the cause of its closure.

Lyle Van Horn, organizer for the Sacramento Music Festival, explains what’s next for jazz in the Capital City. And musicians Mick Martin and Bob Ringwald discuss their history with the event.
