Using Data Science To Fight Wildfires

Wildfires are unpredictable, but data scientists can leverage computing power and decades of fire and climate history to forecast risks across the wildland urban interface.

Rick Hutley is the Program Director and Professor of Practice, Analytics and Data Science at University of the Pacific. He joins Insight to discuss how data science can help in the battle to predict wildfires and limit future damage.
