Capital Public Radio's Capitol Burea Chief Ben Adler joins Beth Ruyak with the latest on California political news. This week they discuss:

  • California will elect a new governor in November. Before that, the two people who will be on the ballot have to get past the June 5 primary, and we’re just two weeks from vote-by-mail.
  • Is California's National Guard deploying to the state's border with Mexico? Gov. Jerry Brown had approved the move last week, but there was some confusion after President Donald Trumped tweeted on Friday. We'll hear the latest.
  • Also, a renter revolt is happening in some major California cities today including Sacramento with a rally planned at noon at the State Capitol. We'll learn what it's about.
