Andrew Nixon / Capital Public Radio

Activists hand out Build. Black. shirts in front of City Hall before a community forum on the shooting of Stephon Clark March 27, 2018.

As more people began questioning why Stephon Clark was shot at 20 times in his grandmother's backyard, faith leaders and community organizers worked to keep Sacramento peaceful during sustained protests.
