The Sacramento French Film Festival returns with its 12th Annual Winter Shorts Fest with several 2019 César Award-nominated animation and live action shorts. This year’s program features a lineup of cinematic amuse-bouches ranging from cartoons about Death’s son resisting the family business (“La Morte Pere Et Fils”) to a Krump dance battle set to the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau (“Les Indes Galantes”) and more.

The festivities kick off at the Crest Theatre on Saturday Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. with a French bar serving champagne cocktails, and the films start at 7 p.m.
