Trump Promises Money For Fire Prevention As His Administration Advocates For Budget Cuts

During his tour of the communities devastated by the Camp Fire, President Donald Trump promised $500 million in federal funding for forest management to help prevent future megafires. But as Sacramento Bee correspondent Emily Cadei reported this week, his own administration has proposed slashing financial support for those operations. She’ll join us to explain where the federal budget for fire prevention stands.
