Senator To Introduce Legislation To Change Peace Officer's Bill of Rights

Senator Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) will introduce legislation to give public more access to police misconduct investigations. The Peace Officers’ Bill of Rights was originally signed by Gov. Jerry Brown in 1976, and went into effect Jan. 1, 1977.

Liam Dillon covers politics for the Los Angeles Times. He joins for this week’s News Network to report on how the bill might play out this session, and whether an initiative effort might come together this year.
