California's Governors Race Heats Up With Major Contributions

It’s been a busy week in California’s capitol.

Gov. Jerry Brown decided to answer President Trump’s call and deploy the National Guard to the Mexico border. There were also big changes made to a controversial housing transit bill — SB 827 827 — that aims to build taller residential buildings near public transportation stations.

With all that news, it’s pretty easy to forget that there’s an election coming up, but the first vote-by-mail ballots go out in a few weeks and the race for California’s governor is heating up. Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler joins Insight guest host Randol White to talk about this and other state capitol news-of-the-week.
