Sacramento Non-Profit Aims To Help Those Affected By Ebola

0924-prince

A Roseville-based nonprofit that provides university and trade school scholarships for young Liberian men and women is collecting much-needed medical supplies and personal protection equipment for health care workers serving on the "front lines" of the Ebola crisis in Liberia. Working in partnership with the Sacramento Liberian Community, Salesian Missions (NY), and the Bernadine Franciscan Sisters (PA), they hope to make this one of the largest community-driven private donation drives related to the Ebola crisis in the country. Raise Your Hand Foundation founder and president Shelley Spurlock joins us to talk about the effort and the organizations very personal connection to the crisis.
