23andMe Research Aims To Advance Medical Treatment

As we gather this holiday season, the topics of health and family history will likely be top of mind. For more than 11 years, the company 23andMe has provided details on the genetic history of millions of Americans.

Their research claims to provide insights on potential health risks and what customers are genetically susceptible to. However, the FDA questioned that. Dr. Carrie Northover, the Director of Research at 23andMe, will be speaking at the symposium this Friday and joins Insight to explain what we can learn from our genes and how new medications could be developed with this research.
