Can Hurricanes Happen In The Pacific?


As communities in Florida and Houston rebuild following destruction from Hurricane’s Irma and Harvey, some Californians are wondering: Could hurricanes ever hit our state?

Idamis Del Valle is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service and explains why we don’t see massive tropical storms out here. She also explores whether climate change could mean we could see more in the future.
