What is the voter count saying about Election Day so far? We'll check with the Registrar's Office in multiple counties to get an idea of what the statewide and national scope of the 2016 elections look like currently.
We have multiple people from Registrar's offices in multiple counties talk about voter numbers so far in the morning.
Jill Lavine from Sacramento County says 160,000 ballots have been placed. Austin Erdman from San Joaquin County says there are 30,000 new voters in the county.
John Gardner from Solano County says 10,000 people voted in the morning -- a 5 percent boost from the last election.
